I’m from Texas and know plenty of rednecks, some good, some bad, mostly bad dressers, but my god do they know how to party and can fix anything with anything.

When I hear redneck I think of some of my friends, but when I hear dumb redneck or I hear it in a negative way, I think of Toby Keith and his stupid Angry American Song. lol
Trailer Parks are all over the U.S., redneck isn’t a southern term, rednecks are all over. You ever see the Red Green Show?
I think there is a huge difference in people who are ‘country’ and who are flat out ‘red-necks’
Country people will help anyone, slower lifestyle, nice to everyone, likes trucks, maybe have a southern/country draw/accent, can and will fix anything, handy around the house/cars etc- may like to party hard-drink some beer and smoke some weed, fans of NASCAR and Jeff Foxworthy, blue-collar workers but…not
REDNECKS- uneducated, missing teeth, poor hygiene, Has 10 cars in the front yard, all with no engine/tranny but lives in a single-wide with the washer/dryer on the front porch next to the mattresses, because they wont throw anything at all away no matter how filthy it is. Smokes meth on the front porch while their children are playing in dirt with “mountain dew mouth” drinking pop/soda out of a bottle and in diapers at 4 years old. Or all 9 kids are at the grocery store with their ‘momma’ who has a t-shirt with no bra, black or missing teeth and the kids have no shoes on or shirts and are playing in the isles licking the floor while the mom is cursing at them and yelling to get out of her way. Pure filthy white trash. Thanks to them ‘Country’ people get a bad rap.
I moved to NC from Ohio 3 years ago. Coming down here I’d say everyone was a red-neck. After meeting hundreds of people through work I realized there is a huge difference.
